IT MAY not be the most stylish vehicle in the world, but it's certainly one of the most practical for small businesses and families on the move.

And now Peugeot's Partner Tepee is set to become one of the greenest and meanest multi-purpose people carriers on the road with the arrival of an all-electric version.

With low running costs and a certified range of over 100 miles on a single charge, the Partner Tepee Electric could become a significant player for those who need a dual-purpose vehicle which can be used both for business and family outings.

Thanks to its zero emissions, the Tepee can be driven in regulated-emissions zones and during regulated traffic times and will also benefit from tax exemption with the new Vehicle Excise Duty regulations coming into force soon.

Building on its predecessor's already impressive practicality, the PEUGEOT Partner Tepee Electric offers the option to remove the three seats in the middle row to create a completely flat load area.

Luggage capacity remains among the best in its category, meaning transportation of large objects is simple, thanks to 1,350 litres of boot space with five passengers aboard, or 3,000 litres with the rear seats folded.

Connectivity will be a key feature of the new model with air conditioning and battery charging which can be remotely controlled from a smartphone or tablet, and its generous standard specification will also include a driver assistance package with hill-assist start, cruise control and reversing camera.

The new Partner Tepee Electric will be launched officially at the Geneva International Motor Show next month and will be available to order later in the year.
