New Rexton SUV from
SsangYong
THIS is the new Rexton SUV which is set to continue the renewal of SsangYong's brand identity which began with the launch of Tivoli crossover.
The car maker says the new SUV inherits the values of the original Rexton as its flagship and will underpin the company's reputation as Korea's oldest vehicle manufacturer and only 4x4 and SUV specialist producer.
The new Rexton comes with a more refined interior and will feature Apple Carplay and Android Auto with device mirroring, 3D around view Monitoring and a wide 9.2-inch HD display screen on the dashboard.
When it comes to the UK towards the end of the year it will be kitted out with dynamic SUV styling and high levels of safety that includes nine airbags.
SsangYong says that with its all-wheel-drive set up the new Rexton will be capable on and off-road and will offer great towing ability.
The new Rexton is 4,850mm long, 1,920mm wide, 1,800mm high and has a 2,865mm wheelbase - longer than the current model but narrower. It will be powered by both petrol and new clean-burning diesel engines, details of which are still to be announced.
