A VIP version of the Renault Trafic van has been revealed by the French motor maker at this year's Cannes International Film Festival.

The Trafic SpaceClass is a nine-seat luxury conversion and comes with dark tinted windows, leather upholstery and air conditioning throughout.

With a pivoting seating arrangement the interior can be configured in more than 50 ways and the layout also includes tables with power points.

Renault says it is targeting chauffeurs and high end shuttle operators with the SpaceClass and chose the 70th Cannes festival to reveal the vehicle in front of celebrities and A-listers.

As well as bright body highlights the SpaceClass has an upmarket dashboard complete with leather steering wheel and a seven-inch display screen which can house Renault's MediaNav navigation system or the R-Link with Android Auto connectivity system.

The Trafic SpaceClass can also be fitted with a reversing camera, depending on version.

Prices for the SpaceClass have yet to be announced but Renault says it plans to have the vehicle on sale in key European markets - including Britain - later in the year.
