ONE of the most popular automotive and aviation shows is promising to be more memorable than ever as a Spitfire, Lancaster bomber and Hurricane prepare to take to the Lincolnshire skies - and send funds soaring for a Leukaemia charity.
Props and Pistons, on Monday, August 28, will bring the iconic war planes to life for another year at the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre in East Kirkby.
The display will also include a Bristol Blenheim and a Mosquito, which is being restored after its recent move to the collection.
In terms of luxury cars, Ferraris, Bentleys and Porsches are expected to generate significant interest, with new arrivals also confirmed in the shape of a Delorean, an Aston Martin DB5 and a BMW M4 DTM German touring car.
Organisers hope to add to the £12,000 currently raised for Bloodwise, with between 4,000 and 5,000 people expected to visit the aviation heritage centre, which is the home of Lancaster NX611 'Just Jane'.
Other cars and aircraft will also add to the overall spectacle, sponsored by local Bridgestone specialists Bush Tyres, while a legendary Jaguar XJ220 will be displayed for the first time.
