VAUXHALL is giving the Viva the pumped up treatment and turning it into a baby SUV called the Viva Rocks.

With a raised ride height, extra body cladding and a durable interior, the Rocks is priced from £11,530.

Sitting at the top of the Viva city car range, the Rocks is powered by the same 1.0-litre 75ps engine as the rest of the line up which gives it a 0 to 60 acceleration of 13.1 seconds, a top speed of 106mph and an official fuel return of 60.1mpg. Emissions are 106g/km.

Other features added to the Rocks include roof rails, a rear skid plate, rugged-looking bumpers and 15-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the Viva Rocks can be fitted with Vauxhall's high-end R 4.0 IntelliLink connectivity system which allows for full smartphone connectivity and navigation via Apple or Google Maps.

There's also an option of a factory-fitted sat nav set up while every model is fitted with the Vauxhall OnStar help system.

Auto parking, cruise control and a city driving mode are standard. Interior dimensions are the same as the regular Viva and boot space ranges from 206 to 1,013 litres.
