LAND Rover is launching a commercial version of the new Discovery aimed at delivery drivers who need to go anywhere.

The Discovery Commercial has 1,856 litres of cargo space with the second and third rows of seats removed.

It will be available with the same diesel engines as the regular model and priced from £40,355 excluding VAT for a 2.0-litre variant and £50,195 for a 3.0-litre V6.

With panels replacing the rear side windows, Land Rover will be offering the new commercial Discovery with the option of black glass coverings at the rear making the vehicle look the same as the passenger model.

Drivetrain features are the same as any Discovery which includes the Land Rover Terrain Response 4x4 system giving the vehicle a 3.5 tonne towing limit.

Land Rover says the new model will be available from late spring in 2018.

The Discovery Commercial's load-space measures 1,635mm long, 939mm high and 1,411mm wide with the boot aperture large enough to accept loads measuring up to 1000mm x 735mm.
