ONE of the rarest cars unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show is a special version of a coupe that will cost from £620,000 - before you put tax and duties on top.

The David Brown Automotive Speedback Silverstone Edition uses the body platform and engine from a current Jaguar XKR and adds a custom designed and built body and interior which clearly pay homage to Aston Martins of the 1960s.

Each model will be made using traditional coachbuilding techniques at David Brown Automotive's headquarters and build facility in Silverstone.

The 5.0 litre supercharged engine produces 601 horsepower, enough for a 0-60mph time of 4.2 seconds and a limited top speed of 155mph

The two-seater configuration - with rear luggage storage space in the place of rear seats - features heated and adjustable sports seats with a stylised Silverstone Circuit outline embroidered into the tan leather.

Bringing more than a touch of modern technology, the Speedback Silverstone Edition has satellite navigation, Bluetooth connectivity and a Bowers and Wilkins surround sound audio system.
