THE hot new Ford Fiesta ST hatchback will be priced from under £19,000 when it arrives in the UK this summer.
Powered by a 1.5-litre three cylinder EcoBoost engine developing 200ps, the Fiesta ST has a 0 to 60 time of 6.5 seconds with a top speed of 144mph.
Three models will be available in both three and five-door body styles with the ST-1 version costing from £18,995.
All will come with variable drive modes for normal, sport and track use while the engine makes use of cylinder deactivation to save on fuel.
Officially the Fiesta ST is rated at 471.mpg with emissions of 136g/km.
Inside, the latest fast Ford is decked out with Recaro seats while higher grade ST-2 models - priced from £19,995 - add climate control and a premium sound system which includes an eight-inch touchscreen.
Top specification ST-3 cars come with sat nav and additional driver aids such as automatic wipers and traffic sign recognition and are priced from £21,495 for a three door and £22,145 for the five-door.
An optional performance pack includes a Quaife limited slip differential plus launch control and is available for £850 on all but the basic model.
Ford has also announced pricing for its new Fiesta Active crossover range. This is available in Active 1, Active B&O PLAY and Active X trims, all in five-door bodystyle.
Fiesta Active 1 starts from £17,995, Active B&O PLAY from £19,195 and Active X from £20,295.
Highlights of the Active series includes rugged body styling, rough road suspension with increased ride height and silver roof rails.
Active models also feature selectable drive modes: Eco, Normal and Slippery, which adjusts stability and traction to maintain control when cornering or changing lanes in slippery conditions, and reduces straight-ahead wheel spin.
