KOREAN car maker Hyundai has announced it is in the final stages of developing a hot variant of its i30 Fastback as part of its line up of N models.
The i30 Fastback N is already undergoing prototype testing at the Nurburgring in Germany where the company has a technical centre.
The track and the public roads around the region are among those used to evaluate performance and durability of the new model, helping to prepare what will be the third N car after the five-door i30 N and the Veloster N.
Launched earlier this year, the i30 Fastback is the only five-door coupe in its segment and one of three body styles Hyundai offers in the range.
Hyundai says the new i30 Fastback N will take the car to another level, enhancing the sophisticated design of the original model and combining this with the BPM-raising characteristics of its sibling five-door i30 N.
More information on the new i30 Fastback N will be announced later in the year, closer to the time of its launch.
