LATEST versions of Honda's all-new CR-V will cost from just under £26,000 when the latest models hit dealer showrooms in early September.

The completely re-worked model was revealed last month and Honda UK has now released full details of the various model grades, specs and pricing which will start from £25,995 for a front wheel drive manual S grade and top out at £36,455 for an all-wheel drive EX model with CVT auto transmission.

The new CR-V follows the grading of the previous generation rising from the entry level S grade through SE, SR and finishing at the top of the range EX.

Honda's 1.5 litre i-VTEC petrol engine is the only power unit on offer, albeit with power outputs of either 170 or 188 BHP, and there's a choice of two and all-wheel drive and with either manual or CVT transmission in all but the entry level, 127 BHP S model which pairs manual transmission with two wheel drive.

All models will be fitted as standard with parking sensors and a rear view camera as well as a suite of safety features which includes collision mitigation braking system, forward collision warning, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control and traffic sign recognition.

SR and EX versions will also feature blind spot warning and cross traffic monitoring, while the CVT version will feature low speed follow.

SR grade also adds smart entry and start, a leather interior, active cornering lights and front windscreen de-icer; while flagship EX models will also have a heated steering wheel, head up display, hands free access power tailgate, heated rear seats and panoramic glass sunroof.

According to Phil Webb of Honda UK: "The fifth generation CR-V once again raises the bar with the amount of equipment it comes with as standard at base grade. "In an incredibly competitive marketplace, the new CR-V will stand out for sophisticated and sporty design alone and we have strong sales expectations for this car."
