ICONIC British sports car company Morgan is 110 years old next year - and the celebrations have already begun at the company's Malvern HQ.
A series of 110 Anniversary models are being added to the line-up and the good news for Morgan's loyal army of enthusiasts is that they will be getting a birthday present.
For each of the special edition models will come with an extensive list of specially selected performance and styling options, worth as much as £8,700, included at no extra cost - plus, of course, special badging to denote their significance.
Set to become rare collectors' cars, the special editions of the Plus 4, Roadster and Morgan 3 Wheeler are being introduced in preparation for the anniversary year. The company is still privately owned by the Morgan family and a number of celebrations are being planned for its 110 birthday.
The Plus 4 and Roadster 110 Anniversary models will come with a front valance, rear exit sports exhaust and leather bonnet strap standing out as the more purposeful and race inspired options while interior trim and detail enhancements include the choice of a leather or wood rimmed Moto-Lita steering wheel, performance seats, a mohair hood pack and any choice of Yarwood leather.
In addition, customers will have the option to have the 110 Anniversary logo embroidered on their headrest in matching or contrasting stich-work, further signifying the special nature of their new Morgans.
As well as the performance and styling options, a new range of standard colours has been introduced, reflecting some of the most popular Morgan colours throughout the company's history, as well as some personal favourites hand-picked by Morgan's design team.
The Plus 4 is priced from £44,106 with 15 options worth a total of £8,700 now included within the price. Buyers of the Roadster will get £8,000-worth of free options included in prices starting from £55,074.
As well as the Plus 4 and Roadster, the 3 Wheeler also receives a selection of 10 interior and exterior 110 Anniversary options worth £3,300 included in the brochure price of £39,486.
Inside there's quilted leather stitching, centre split seats, storage pockets and a mohair tonneau cover while the bodywork features black roll hoops, black exhaust heat shields and a body coloured engine cowl. Buyers will also be able to choose any solid colour from the newly introduced colour ranges,
Says Morgan managing director, Steve Morris: "It is an immense pleasure and an honour to lead the Morgan Motor Company as we approach such a significant milestone in our history. Milestones such as a 110 anniversary offer everyone associated with the brand an opportunity for reflection, as well as an opportunity for us to offer even more to our customers. The ‘110 Edition' vehicles are the beginning of our celebrations, and we look forward to making further exciting announcements throughout 2019."
