IF you're looking to add a little extra style to your motoring, Renault has launched a new model which it hopes will ‘Captur' your imagination in time for the March new registration rush.

The French brand is introducing what it says is a new ‘style-focused' version of its popular Captur small SUV which comes with new interior finishes and is packed with driver assistance technology.

Sitting above the Captur Play and Iconic, and below Captur GT-Line, the new Captur S Edition comes with Alcantara seats trimmed with red stitching and leather-trimmed steering wheel, handbrake grip and gear lever knob.

Black-trimmed pillars and a dark roof lining are designed to provide a style contrast to the red highlights featured throughout the interior including the edging of the seven-inch colour infotainment touchscreen.

There's a choice of six paintwork finishes with the lower door accents coloured in gun metal grey, as are the front and rear skid plates. The 17-inch ‘Filante' alloy wheels are exclusive to the S Edition while a black roof and black door mirrors are available as a no-cost option. Buyers looking for more individual style can opt for Ivory or Mercury contrasting roof and mirror paintwork at extra cost.

Standard equipment includes navigation, DAB radio, rear parking sensors and automatic headlights and windscreen wipers.

Three engines - a diesel and two petrol units - are available with the range-topping TCe 150 petrol engine only available with a six-speed EDC automatic gearbox.

The dCi 90 diesel engine can be ordered with either a five-speed manual or five-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox while the TCe 130 petrol engine comes with a six-speed manual box.

Dealers are taking orders from this month with prices starting at £19,785 and rising to £21,565.
