TWO new models are joining the Jaguar F-PACE SUV range with the arrival of 300 Sport and Chequered Flag special editions.

Priced from £46,995 for the Chequered Flag and £53,980 for the 300 Sport both new cars feature Jaguar's latest connectivity system which is now fully smartphone compatible.

The cars come as Jaguar updates the F-PACE line up to include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on all versions as well as fitting ultra-low rolling resistance tyres which are said to reduce emissions by up to eight grams per kilometre.

The 300 Sport F-PACE is available with either a 2.0-litre Ingenium petrol engine or a 3.0-litre V6 diesel and both will sit above R-Sport models in the range.

Performance figures for the petrol model are 0 to 60 in 5.8 seconds with a top speed of 145mph while the diesel is rated at 6.2 seconds and has a 150mph maximum.

The F-PACE Chequered Flag is based on the R-Sport model and is fitted with a sport front bumper and black gloss details on the front grille, the side vents and door cladding.

A range of 2.0-litre all-wheel-drive powertrains are available on the Chequered Flag cars beginning with a performance-focused 250ps 2.0-litre Ingenium petrol model, which powers it from 0-60mph in 6.6 seconds with a top speed of 135mph.

Diesel powertrains are available in 240ps and 180ps form, with the latter providing up to 41.9mpg under the new WLTP fuel testing system.

Jaguar says the Chequered Flag models include £5,810-worth of additional equipment compared with the F-PACE R-Sport, but with a price that is less than £3,400 more expensive while the 300 Sport has £8,430 of added extras compared with the petrol 300ps R-Sport but at a price of less than £5,000 more.

The F-PACE line up is now priced from £36,820 and with the new tyres fitted the 163ps 2.0-litre diesel model is now rated at 140g/km which equates to 46.8mpg.
