IT'S Play-time at Hyundai dealers this month with the launch of special edition versions of both the i10 supermini and i20 compact hatchback.

Available from Monday next week (April 8), the new Play special edition models come with a host of added value kit over and above the specification of the SE models on which they're based but with no increase in price for the i10 Play and a saving of £1,000 for the i20 version.

The i10 PLAY is available from £11,195, the same price as the i10 SE, and comes with 15-inch alloys, rear privacy glass, a seven-inch touchscreen navigation system with DAB, Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™, black gloss door mirror covers and unique badging. There's just one engine and transmission choice - a one litre petrol engine mated to a FIVE-speed manual gearbox.

Costing from £14,495, the i20 Play comes with the same added specification items from higher in the range plus driver attention alert, lane keep assist, autonomous emergency braking, hill-start assist control and speed sensitive door locking. It's available with either a 1.2 litre engine or a more powerful one-litre turbo both of which come with a five-speed manual transmission.
