debut electric vans

Peugeot Boxer Electric launched at the Commercial Vehicle Show

FRENCH sister companies Peugeot and Citroen have premiered new, zero-emission, all-electric versions of their Boxer and Relay vans at the commercial vehicle show at Birmingham's National Exhibition Centre.

The Peugeot Boxer Electric and Citroën Relay Electric large vans will be available with drivetrains capable of covering 141 or 169 miles on the NEDC test cycle depending on the model.

Both Peugeot and Citroen come under the Groupe PSA banner and have pledged to have electric versions of every car and van in their ranges by 2025.

Says the Groupe's senior vice president for light commercials: Philippe Narbeburu: "In line with our ‘Push to Pass' strategic plan, we are continuing to electrify our entire range. This new offer is a major competitive advantage for our brands in a very competitive LCV segment. This is an opportunity to strengthen our leadership in Europe by meeting the new needs of zero-emission driving without giving up the useful services related to the demanding uses of our professional customers."
