TWO new versions of the Fiat 500 are about to take centre stage - and they're getting star billing as part of a stylish update for the summer.
Appropriately named Star and Rockstar the new top-of-the-range models are available in both hatchback and cabriolet guise, while all 500 models from Lounge trim upwards now come with a a seven inch touchscreeninfotainment system - which has Apple CarPlay support and is compatible with Android Auto - as standard.
Priced from £15,395, the 500 Star features a new metallic pink paint finish with chrome details, 16-inch alloy wheels and a fixed glass roof as standard. Other colours are available.
Inside, there's new upholstery material available in two colour combinations and the dashboard can now be chosen in one of the two new shades - matt white or matt Bordeaux.
There's a choice of a 1.2-litre 69hp petrol engine, with manual or automatic transmission, or Fiat's 0.9-litre 85hp petrol Twin Air engine with six-speed manual transmission.
The new 500 Rockstar combines the bumpers and the side sills from the 500 Sport with details such as a fixed glass roof, 16-inch alloy wheels and satin finish chrome bodywork details. Among a myriad of colour choices there's an exclusive new matt green paint.
The interior comes with new upholstery featuring pinstripe fabric centres, edged by side panels with grey or blue details and finished in black eco leather. Like the Star version, the Rockstar also offers two new dashboard colours - matt dark green and matt grey.
Engine choices are the same as the Star version with prices starting from £15,565.
The revised 500 range is available to order now priced from Â£12,165 for the 1.2 -litre 500 POP, and buyers who like fresh air motoring can strike a bargain, for until June 30, convertible versions across the 500 range are available for the same price as the hatchback equivalents - a saving of around Â£2,500.
