A NEW trim level is being introduced by Nissan on its popular Micra, Qashqai and X-Trail models bringing extra kit and connectivity to the models.

The so-called N-Tec versions come with additional black styling features inside and out while the company's NissanConnect infotainment system is also fitted to the cars.

The Qashqai N-Tec is priced from £26,475 which places it just below the top specification Tekna grade in the line up.

It has 19-inch black alloys, darkened LED head lights and black Alcantara seat coverings as well as the technology upgrades which include automatic parking, Nissan's ProPILOT driver assistance system and full smartphone connectivity.

On the Micra, the N-Tec model costs from £16,995 and its styling changes include privacy glass, front fog lights while as well as the advanced connectivity the car is also fitted with rear parking sensors and a reversing camera.

Prices for the X-Trail N-Tec are still to be confirmed but Nissan says the model will come with a 1.7-litre diesel engine and will be available as a five or seven seater and with either two or four-wheel-drive.

The ProPILOT set up will be offered only on automatic versions of the X-Trail but all N-Tec versions have black styling cues and an illuminated sill protector panel inside the doors.

Nissan says that the N-Tec models will be produced only in limited numbers to boost exclusivity.
