A SPECIAL edition of the MINI Convertible is being released with only 150 examples available in the UK.

The so-called Sidewalk Edition will be priced from £34,215 and uses a 192hp Cooper S powertrain featuring a seven-speed Steptronic transmission with double clutch and steering wheel paddles.

Finished in a special Deep Laguna blue metallic paint the car has Sidewalk badges on the side and an Arrow design pattern on the soft top roof.

Inside, the limited editon model features a new seat design which includes contrasting stitching colours and more Sidewalk badges while standard kit includes sat nav, a Harmon Kardon hi-fi system and a head-up display.

Heated seats, a wind deflector and a rear view camera are other standard features.

MINI says that the special model is slated for production from March.
