A NEW-look version of the Citroen C3 has been announced and will be on the road in the UK this summer.

Featuring refreshed styling the latest C3 now comes with LED headlights, a revised front design and a different pattern to the protective Airbump side strips.

There are also additional paint jobs with Citroen saying its new compact hatch will be available with no less than 97 colour combinations with four different roof colours to enhance its appeal.

Inside, the C3 has Citroen's Advanced Comfort seats which use extra foam to provide more support while technology includes a range of connected services and a new array of parking sensors at the front.

Citroen's inbuilt ConnectedCAM dash cam system remains a feature as does a driver fatigue monitor, lane departure and blind spot warnings.

The interior of the revised C3 is moving upmarket with a new Techwood trim joining the range which includes a wooden pattern on the dashboard and a lighter coloured finish to the upper part of the seat fabric.

Performance details and pricing for the revised model are still to be announced but the car will be powered by two versions of PSA's three-cylinder PureTech petrol engine developing either 83 or 110bhp and a BlueHDi diesel with 100bhp.

The PureTech 110 is also available with a six-speed automatic transmission as an option over its manual gearbox while the diesels and lower powered petrol models have five-speed manual boxes.

The new C3 is slated for release in June when the first models will arrive in Citroen dealerships. The current line up - launched in 2016 - is priced from just over £12,000.
