HYUNDAI has released the first details of its new i20 supermini ahead of the car's reveal at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
It is the first car in Hyundai's European portfolio to feature the Korean company's new Sensuous Sportiness design and comes with a new look all round and a sleek profile.
Sitting almost an inch lower than before, the new model is also wider and has a greater wheelbase.
Hyundai says the new i20 will have best in class connectivity and the car will be fully smartphone compatible with wireless phone charging and a new-look interior that uses two 10.25-inch display screens.
Boot space is also increased and now comes in at 351 litres - significantly larger than top-selling Ford Fiesta.
Hyundai will be offering the new i20 only with one engine option in the UK and that is a 1.0-litre turbo petrol developing 100ps which comes with a 48-volt mild hybrid powertrain to aid economy.
Prices and full performance details for the new model - which will be built in Turkey - are still to be announced but the current i20 range costs from just under £12,000.
The new i20 will have its debut at the Geneva Motor Show on Tuesday, March 3.
