WHEN it comes to brand awareness, there's no better way for car makers to get noticed than success in top level motor sport.
And Hyundai's stellar performances in the World Rally Championship with the i20 WRC car haven't gone unnoticed by enthusiasts and have bred a series of sporty N-Line models across the company's model range.
Now a brand-new N-car is on the way from the Korean maker in the shape of the all-new i20 N, a racetrack-capable hot hatch based on the all-new i20 and inspired by the i20 WRC rally car.
Hyundai has released teaser pictures ahead of the car's launch and says that the i20 N will offer exclusive engine performance and dynamic technology innovations with a number of features taken from the world of motorsport
The teaser images reveal a dynamic design with a front end dominated by a larger air intake to provide additional cooling for the turbo engine and brakes. While details are scant we also know that the i20 N will come with bespoke 18-inch wheels with a grey matte finish and N-branded brake callipers, as well as unique side sills. At the back there's a distinctive rear spoiler.
Hyundai says that more details will be revealed soon.
