The car will come in seven different variants and will include four-wheel-drive versions on higher specifications.

The Cupra Formentor line up will be named V1, V2, VZ1, VZ2, VZ3 and VZ Edition and standard features on the entry-grade V1 model include 18-inch alloy wheels, a 12-inch infotainment touchscreen with connected navigation, 10-inch digital driver binnacle, LED headlights, rain-sensing wipers, adaptive cruise control, wireless smartphone charger, a leather steering wheel and rear parking sensors.

The V1 is powered by a 150ps turbo petrol engine capable of up to 44.8mpg while the more powerful VZ2 and VZ3 models have engines developing 310ps with best fuel economy rated at 33.2 to the gallon.

The range topping VZ Edition version will be priced from £43,840 while the VZ line up itself starts from £39,830.
