A FRESH look is coming to the SsangYong Rexton as the Korean car maker's popular SUV gets a facelift inside and out.

The new model is priced from £37,995 in Ventura trim and is powered by an uprated 2.2-litre which now delivers 202bhp - and increase of more than 20bhp

Top specification Ultimate models will cost from £40,665 and both are all-wheel-drive with eight speed automatic transmissions. The shift-by-wire gearbox is produced by Hyundai.

Official performance data gives the new Rexton a CO2 emission level of 225g/km with fuel economy of up to 32.9mpg. Acceleration time 0-62mph is 11.9 seconds.

Inside, there's a new look to the 12.3-inch digital cluster and the car's infotainment system with full smartphone connectivity, a reversing camera and a display screen of up to 9.2-inches.

Safety equipment includes autonomous emergency braking, safety distance warning, lane departure warning, front vehicle start warning, speed limit warning, smart high beam and trailer sway control.

The Rexton is a seven-seater and has a 3.5-tonne towing limit enabling it to pull large caravans and double horseboxes if needed.
