FORD is bolstering its Ranger pick-up truck range with two limited edition models - one with a decidedly stealthy finish.

The Ranger Wolftrak has a grey paint finish and is based on the XLT series and powered by Ford's 170ps 2.0âlitre EcoBlue diesel engine with a choice of six-speed manual or 10âspeed automatic transmission.

It will be joined by a Ranger Stormtrak which has luxury features including leather trim and a roller shutter cover for the loadbed.

The Stormtrak uses a 213ps version of the EcoBlue engine with automatic transmission as standard.

It is based on the Wildtrak versions of the Ranger and both are due for release this October.

The roller shutter cover is available as an option on the Wolftrak and can be operated via the key fob, or by using buttons located in the load bed or inside the cabin on the dashboard.

Prices are still to be announced but are expected to carry a premium over the models on which the two specials are based which in the case of the Wildtrak cost from around £36,000 and £40,000 for the XLT.
