VOLKSWAGEN is introducing a new trim level to its line up which will site above its current Match, SE, Design and Life models.
The new Active trim will be available on the Polo, T-Cross, T-Roc, T-Roc Cabriolet, Golf and the Tiguan.
Precise specifications vary by model but all bar the T-Cross feature versions of a new ‘Galway' alloy wheel, offered in 15- to 18-inch diameters, bespoke Active badging on the door pillar - or side wing on the T-Roc Cabriolet - and use of the Active logo on the sills, seat upholstery and in a light projected from beneath the door mirrors.
Prices for the Active grade start from £18,100 for the Polo, £21,035 for the T-Cross, £23,860 for the Golf, £24,035 for the T-Roc, £28,060 for the T-Roc Cabriolet and £27,860 for the Tiguan.
On the Polo Active for example the new specification adds extra features above Match models such as Discover media, a winter pack, climate control and carpet mats.
Those features would normally cost £1,665 as options but on the Active cars add £700 to the price.
Other equipment being made available with the Active grade include a power operated tailgate on the T-Roc, heated front seats and climate control on the Golf and electric folding door mirrors and ambient lighting on the Tiguan.
