PRICES have been confirmed for the first wave of Kia's new all-electric EV6 models with the line up starting from £40,895.
The first cars are due on the road in October and the range will eventually top out with a high performance GT model due for release in 2022.
Initially, three trim levels will be available with GT-Line versions priced from £43,895 and GT-Line S models costing from £48,395.
All-wheel-drive will be offered on all but the entry level EV6 and those will be priced from £47,395.
All versions of the car - the first to use Kia's new global modular platform developed specifically for electric vehicles - will have a long range battery pack with ultra-fast charging allowing them to be replenished to 80 per cent capacity in just 18 minutes.
The five-seat electric crossover will feature a curved panoramic display, with twin 12.3-inch touchscreens across the dashboard.
Connectivity includes Apple CarPlan and Android Auto as well as Kia's ‘connected car' UVO Connect system and a range of dedicated EV displays.
A battery heat pump, designed to maximise driving range in sub-zero temperatures, will be standard on the EV6 GT, and available as an option on GT-Line and GT-Line S models.
The range-topping GT model, due in the second half of 2022, features an all-wheel drive system which develops a total power output of 577bhp resulting in a targeted 0 to 62mph acceleration time of 3.5 seconds.
The car will also have electronically controlled suspension, an electronic limited-slip differential and a sports interior featuring bucket seats trimmed in black suede.
