RETRO specialists David Brown Automotive has launched the most powerful of its Mini Remastered models designed for use either on the road or on the track.

The Mini Remastered, Oselli Edition features a 1,450cc twin SU carburettor engine delivering 125bhp giving it a 0 to 62 acceleration time of 7.8 seconds.

The Silverstone based company says that it is 70 per cent more powerful than the standard Mini Remastered models and the special can be custom-built with bucket seats, half-roll cage, multi-point harness seatbelts, suspension upgrades and limited-slip differential.

It can be ordered as a four-seater car or stripped back for the circuit as a two-seater complete with a hand-trimmed, leather-lined roll cage.

The cars, which will have starting prices in the region of £98,000, are hand-built to order with models made at David Brown Automotive's specialist build facility in Silverstone, before moving to the workshop of Buckinghamshire-based Oselli for engine tuning and performance enhancement.

Production will be limited to 60 examples.
