PRICES and more details about the Hyundai Bayon compact SUV have been revealed by the Korean car maker.

The car will be priced from £20,295 with the 10 model range topping out at £25,795.

All versions are powered by a 1.0-litre petrol mild hybrid turbo engine developing either 100 or 120ps and mated to a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed dual clutch gearbox.

Performance data is a best 0 to 62 acceleration time of 10.4 seconds with a maximum of 115mph for the higher powered option and 10.7 seconds for the manual 100ps model with a top speed of 113mph.

The 1.0-litre 100ps DCT arrangement increases the acceleration time to 11.7 seconds with a maximum of 112mph.

Fuel economy and emissions have yet to be announced.

Three trim levels will be offered - SE Connect, Premium and Ultimate - with all models having Hyundai's SmartSense safety systems which include lane tracking, automatic emergency braking and fully automatic headlights.

A semi-autonomous lane following system and blindspot collision warning is available as an option on higher grade cars.

Premium models are priced from £22,495 and include a 10.25-inch touchscreen sat nav system, wireless phone charging and Hyundai's Bluelink telematics set up while Ultimate grade vehicles feature keyless entry, a Bose sound system and extra body trim among standard features.
