SPANISH car maker SEAT is upgrading its Ateca and Tarraco SUVs with more technology and some interior tweaks.

Entry level prices rise by some £1,000 for both models which see them priced from £24,560 for the Ateca and £30,080 for the Tarraco.

The Ateca XPERIENCE Lux now comes with SEAT's Pre-Crash Assist safety system as standard.

The system uses data from the forward-facing camera to prepare the occupants of the car for an oncoming collision by tightening seatbelts and closing windows, in addition to applying the brakes to reduce speed.

Inside both the SE and SE Technology trims get a sports leather steering wheel with gear-shift paddles, making it standard across all trim levels.

On the larger Tarraco, SE trims benefit from the addition of SEAT Connect as standard on SE models which makes it standard across the entire range and Adaptive Cruise Control on SE and SE Technology models.

The 2022 model year Ateca price starts at £24,560 for the Ateca SE 1.0 TSI 110ps rising to £36,290 for the Ateca XPERIENCE Lux 2.0 TDI DSG-auto 4Drive 150ps.

Pricing for the Tarraco range now start at £30,080 for the Tarraco SE 1.5 TSI Evo 150ps.
