TEASER images of the next Ranger pick-up have been released by Ford ahead of the vehicle's launch in 2022.

Although camouflaged the vehicle appears to be true to its roots with rugged styling.

The fourth generation model is expected to come with improved off-road ability.

Details are sketchy at the moment but it is likely the new Ranger will be powered by a diesel engine at launch with the possibility of an electric powertrain arriving later.

The new model will share its platform with Volkswagen's new Amarok and a sportier Raptor variant is likely to be included in the line up later.
