CITROEN has unveiled changes to its C5 Aircross SUV, including an updated front design that features a new interpretation of the French brand's logo.

Positioned in the centre of the grille, the updated badging sits between V-shaped LED daytime running lights which gives a stronger-looking 3D effect to the front lights.

Aerodynamic changes include ‘air curtains' positioned at either side of the front bumper while the main air intake in the centre also becomes more dynamic with a glossy aluminium skid plate on the lower part of the front bumper.

Inside there is now a larger 10-inch touchscreen in the centre of the dash as well as a fully customisable 12.3-inch digital driver's display.

The new C5 Aircross is equipped with the latest generation of Citroen's Advanced Comfort seats already used in the smaller C4 hatchback and the forthcoming C5 X.

Elsewhere the central console has been modernised, with a black leather-effect material and chrome touches and there is new, high tech e-Toggle gear selector fitted on plug-in hybrid and automatic models.

There is also a new driving mode selection button, a new layout for the optional grip control function and, on PHEV versions, an intuitive selector for choosing the desired driving mode - electric, hybrid or sport.

Prices and powertrain specifications are to be announced later prior to the refreshed model's release in the spring.
