FIAT has slotted the last piece of its electrification jigsaw into place with the launch of new hybrid versions of the 500X and Tipo, the arrival of which will give the Italian brand at least one low-emissions version of each model in its range.

Powered by a new 48-Volt Hybrid engine the new 500X Hybrid and Tipo Hybrid are scheduled to arrive at UK dealers in the spring priced from £27,585 and £27,595 respectively.

Both pair Fiat's new-generation FireFly four-cylinder 1.5-litre petrol turbo that can deliver up to 130hp with torque of 240Nm, with a 48-Volt, 15kW e-motor, controlled by a new seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
