ITALIAN performance specialist Abarth has announced its line up for 2022 with a dozen models priced from £21,295.

The range, which is based on the Fiat 500, kicks off with the 595 and tops out with the more powerful 695 which costs from £24,495.

All are available either as hatchbacks or convertibles with the latter priced from £23,945 for the 595 or £27,145 for the 695.

The Abarth 595 can be equipped as either aTurismo which is more focused on style, or theF595 with more performance features.

Similarly, the Abarth 695 can be had inTurismospecification or as a sportierCompetizione model.

Prices for the 595 Turismo and the F595 run from £22,295 while the 695 Turismo costs from £25,295 and the Competizione from £27,295.

The 595 is powered by a 1.4-litre T-jet engine developing 165hp which gives it a top speed of 135mph and a 0 to 62mph acceleration time of 7.3 seconds while the 695 has 180hp on tap resulting in a maximum of 140mph and an acceleration time of 6.7 seconds.

Official fuel figures rate the 595 at 42.2mpg at best with emissions of 152g/km while the 695 comes in at 40.4mpg with a CO2 figure as low as 156g/km. Competizione versions are slightly thirstier.

Custom features include a Record Monza Sovrapposto exhaust system with a new configuration and four pipes - two per side - which are vertically stacked, Sabelt sports seats and an adjustable spoiler that can be set in 12 positions from 0 to 60 degrees to add stability at speed.
