BENTLEY is to introduce a new S range to its Continental GT and convertible GTC line up.

Available with a 4.0-litre V8 engine, the S models are fitted with a sports exhaust system to enhance the sound.

Other touches include a black gloss grille and the option of 22-inch wheels while the car also has S badging on the front bumpers, quad exhaust tailpipes and sill extenders in black as fitted to the Continental GT Speed..

Performance is unchanged from the Continental GT V8 with the car having a 0 to 62mph acceleration time of four seconds while the engine develops 542bhp.

Inside, the S range Continental features a two-tone colour split and comes with suede-like Dinamica trim and leather hide in the upholstery.

The instrumentation is similar to that of the Continental GT Speed with fluted seats bearing an S emblem which is repeated on the facia and in the illuminated treadplates.

Prices for the S range are still to be announced and can be expected to sit between the £157,900 entry level cost of the GT and the £209,900 of the GT Speed.

Fuel economy is rated between 22.6 and 23.3mpg with best emissions of 442g/km.
