A DISTINCTIVE new limited-edition version of the MINI Electric has been launched featuring a novel paint job on the car's roof and colouful decals inside and out.

Limited to just 200 examples in the UK, the MINI Multitone Edition symbolises the diversity within the MINI community, says the BMW-owned brand.

Only available in a sage green metallic paint finish, the special edition model comes with what the company calls a multitone roof design. Extending from the windscreen frame to the rear across the entire roof, the gradient paintwork starts with white before transitioning through a subdued grey shade finally finishing in Jet Black. The colour gradient is complemented by an abstract white rainbow on the roof, which is also featured throughout the design.

This special look is made possible by an innovative wet-on-wet painting process used by the British MINI plant in Oxford. With this Spray Tech paint finish, the three colour shades are applied directly one after the other. Due to changing environmental conditions, deviations in the colour pattern may occur, making each MINI Multitone Edition vehicle unique.

Other special features include white trims surrounding the headlights and MINI badge, 17" scissor spoke two-tone alloy wheels and graphic rainbow motifs on the C-Pillar with matching-coloured designs also found on the side scuttle and door sills and inside the vehicle, on the sun visor, floor mats, cockpit facia and steering wheel.

Priced at £33,200, the Multitone Edition is based on the MINI Electric Level 2, providing front heated seating, automatic dual zone air conditioning, sports leather steering wheel and sports seats as standard as well as an 8.8" centre display screen, Apple CarPlay, navigation system, cruise control, MINI Driving Modes, rain senior with automatic headlight activation, rear view camera and rear park distance control.
