CITROEN is making changes to its Ami range of micro-electric cars with the introduction of a range-topping Tonic model.

Replacing the previous Ami Vibe, the Tonic comes with a khaki and yellow colour scheme, new headlamp bezels and decorative roof rails.

It is priced from £8,695 and like all versions of the tiny car has a range of up to 46 miles and a top speed of 28mph.

The Ami line up now comprises the standard model priced from £7,995 and a Pop specification at £8,495 as well as the Tonic.

There is also a commercially-oriented Ami Cargo which is priced the same as the regular Ami.

The Ami Tonic is equipped as standard with accessories to support day-to-day use such as a smartphone cradle, three storage bins, door nets, a central separation net, a bag hook, floor mats and a dongle to connect with a smartphone.
