SUSTAINABILITY is the focus of Bentley's thinking with its' latest special edition model, the Bentayga Odyssean Edition.

It follows in the green wheeltracks of the Flying Spur Odyssean Edition which was launched in 2021 and, like its stablemate, the new limited edition luxury SUV, only 70 examples of which will be built, comes with a hybrid powertrain.

The Bentayga Hybrid's V6 petrol engine, electric motor and new and improved 18.0 kWh battery now has an increased electric-only range of at least 28 miles (45 km) on the WLTP cycle. With a combined output of 456 bhp, the 3.0-litre TFSI V6 petrol engine and 100 kW electric motor-generator can power the Bentayga Hybrid from zero to 62 miles an hour in just 5.3 seconds, with a top speed of 158 mph.

Bentley's hybrid portfolio now consists of seven models out of 14 in total, meaning 50 per cent of the complete Bentley model range is now electrified.

Sustainability is not only focused on the powertrain, but with the materials used in the luxurious cabin which include specially developed tweed panels in a bespoke yarn made from 100 per cent British wool and sustainable natural leather upholstery. Additionally the special edition's wood veneers are coated with 90 per cent less lacquer than high-gloss veneers.

Bentley will take orders, at an undisclosed price, from this month with production set to begin in the first quarter of next year.
