TOYOTA is releasing a special edition of the Aygo X mini-SUV with a model that has a power retracting canvas sunroof as standard.

The so-called Air Edition is priced from £19,045 and is available via the Toyota website only.

The car is powered by a 1.0-litre three cylinder petrol engine mated to either to a five-speed manual or an automatic CVT transmission which costs to £20,225.

Equipment specification mirrors that of the Aygo X Edge with features that include a multimedia system with eight-inch touchscreen and smartphone integration, automatic wipers, reversing camera, front fog lights and front and rear parking sensors.

The car is also fitted with the Toyota Safety Sense active safety and driver assistance set up which includes a pre-collision system, emergency steering assist, automatic high beam, intelligent adaptive cruise control, lane trace assist and road sign assist as well as a driver alert system that sounds a warning if it detects driver fatigue or a lapse in attention.
