AUDI has announced its new Q8 e-tron flagship electric SUV will be priced from £68,800 with the line up topping out from £117,000.

The Q8 e-tron and Q8 Sportback e-tron ranges comprise four trim levels - Sport, S Line, Black Edition and Vorsprung.

The high-performance SQ8 e-tron range is made up of a Black Edition and Vorsprung trim but an on-sale date for these variants is still to be announced.

Three power outputs will be available - a Q8 50 e-tron developing 340ps, a 55 variant with its motor producing 408ps while the SQ8 has 503ps on tap.

As such the SQ8 e-tron can sprint from 0 to 62mph in 4.5 seconds and top out at 130mph while performance figures for the Q8 50 e-tron are six seconds 0 to 62mph and 5.6 seconds for the 55 model. Both Q8 e-trons have maximum speeds of 124mph.

Maximum range is 343 miles for the Sportback 55 with the 50 model rated at 290 miles and the SQ8 295 miles.

Charging times range from nine hours 15 minutes for a full charge at home to 11-and-a-half hours while a recharge from a fast charge to 80 per cent capacity will take around half-an-hour.

Sportback models carry a £2,500 premium with S line versions priced from £72,800, Black Editon models from £75,150 and range topping Vorsprung specification starting from £89,800.
