THE high-performance SUV version of the all-electric Skoda Enyaq will cost from £52.670 when it goes on sale early in 2023.

The Enyaq iV vRS will be the second EV to wear Skoda's performance badge and follows the hot version of the Enyaq Coupe launched earlier this year.

The new Enyaq iV vRS is fitted with an 82kWh battery pack and has a driving range of 321 miles.

Like the coupe version, the SUV has a power output of 299ps and is equipped with twin motors - one on each axle.

Combined, the motors deliver 460Nm of torque to give instant acceleration and a powerful mid-range response.

Performance figures are the same as the coupe with a top speed of 111mph and a 0 to 62mph acceleration time of 6.5 seconds with a rapid recharge time of 36 minutes to 80 per cent capacity.

From a home charger Skoda says a full recharge takes around 13 hours.

The cockpit features a special vRS design selection that comes with sports seats with black perforated leather seat upholstery with grey piping and contrast stitching.

A multifunction sports leather steering wheel also features contrast stitching while the dashboard sports a leather-look finish with contrast stitching.

The sporting flagship also comes as standard with a three-zone climate control system, LED ambient lighting that also illuminates the dashboard and door panels, as well as wireless smartphone charging.

Boot capacity for the SUV is 15 litres larger than the coupe at 585 litres with a large maximum capacity of 1,710 litres.

Deliveries are expected to start around June.
