VOLKSWAGEN has given a sneak preview of its new ID.7 electric saloon at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas ahead of the car's world premiere later in 2023.

Wearing an interactive camouflage scheme, the car is one of 10 new electric models VW plans to launch by 2026.

VW says standard features on the car include an augmented reality head-up display, a 15-inch control screen, illuminated touch sliders and new air conditioning controls which can sense when the driver is approaching the vehicle and adjust the interior temperature accordingly.

With the ID.7 Volkswagen is expanding its fully electric ID. family into the upper middle auto market and the car will be sold in Europe, North America and China.

European models will be produced at VW's factor in Emden and the ID.7 will be the sixth all-electric model the company has produced since the arrival of the ID.3 crossover hatch some three years ago.
