UPMARKET auto brand DS is launching a revised version of its small hatchback, the DS 3.

Prices for the new line up now start from £25,900 and the first cars will be on the road in the next few months.

The car has a new-look front with a redesigned grille and LED headlights as well as a new spoiler to improve aerodynamics while at the rear there is now a lacquered black strip around the lights and tailgate.

The new models also feature flush-fitting door handles which clean up the car's lines.

Inside, there's a redesigned steering wheel which featuresregrouped controls for driver aids and infotainment buttons, as well as gearshift paddles for automatic gearboxes.

A new 10.3-inch high definition central screen is now offered as standard, with the new DS IRIS SYSTEM infotainment system built in.

The new line-up comprises four trim specifications and three power options in the shape of PureTech 100 manual and PureTech 130 automatic petrol models and E-Tense electric versions.

The automatics are priced from £28,500 and the electric DS 3 starts from £37,200 in Performance Line trim.

In line with other DS models, a new Opera specification is the range topper and as with all but the base model is available only with the PureTech 130 automatic and E-Tense powertrains.

Opera models are priced from £34,000 and £42,700 respectively.

The E-Tense electric version has a range of up to 249 miles on a full charge and can be recharged to 80 per cent capacity in 30 minutes from a fast charger and DS says a full charge at home takes five hours 45 minutes.
