A NEW version of the Volkswagen Touareg SUV has been released with extra features including air suspension, a panoramic sunroof and an electric tailgate.

The Touareg R-line Tech Plus is priced from £64,520 for versions fitted with a 3.0-litre 231ps diesel and according to VW has additional equipment worth around £5,000 for an extra £1,720.

Models with a 3.0 TDI 286ps engine cost from £67,200.

Both come with features already fitted in the R-line Tech Touareg which include a heated leather-wrapped multi-function sports steering wheel with shift paddles, 15-inch Innovision cockpit with active info display, and memory-function exterior mirrors.
