MAZDA is updating its medium-sized hatch and saloon Mazda3 bringing the 18 model line up into line with the rest of its latest range.

With the car maker's latest grade naming structure, the Mazda3 now comes in Prime-Line, Centre-Line, Homura, Exclusive-Line and Takumi specifications.

Prices run from £23,045 for Prime-Line hatchbacks to £30,690 for top grade Takumi models with the e-Skyactiv X line up costing from £26,945 to £33,190.

The saloon versions start from £29,245 and top out from £33,190.

Updates include a new larger central screen that has grown from eight to 10.25 inches to allow for clearer navigation mapping.

Other connectivity upgrades include Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus QI Wireless Charging, while Apple CarPlay and Android Auto navigation is now supported in the head-up display.

The new Mazda3 now features USB Type-C charging ports. Engine choices are unchanged.

The 122ps e-Skyactiv G engine is available across all five 2024 Mazda3 hatchback grades of Prime-Line, Centre-Line, Homura, Exclusive-Line and Takumi - with all but the Prime-Line offered with a choice of automatic or manual gearbox.

The e-Skyactiv X models not available in Prime-Line specification while the saloon is available only in Exclusive-Line and Takumi grades with a 186ps e-Skyactiv X engine.

Jeremy Thomson, managing director of Mazda UK, said: "The popularity of the Mazda3 with our customers and dealers remains very strong, highlighting what an important car it is in our line-up.

"With its connectivity and interior screen upgrades, the 2024 Mazda3 continues to be one of the best looking, highest quality and most generously equipped hatchbacks in the market, while the stylish Mazda3 saloon is a competitor in the compact executive saloon market. With five new model grades, there remains a lot choice across the Mazda3 range."
