AN estate model is being added to the all-electric Volkswagen ID.7 range with a sleek new Tourer being unveiled by the German car maker.

The ID.7 Tourer has a cargo capacity ranging from 565 litres to a maximum of 1,714 litres while it shares the same power options as the ID.7 hatch with a choide of two battery packs each paired to a 282bhp motor.

A 77kWh battery will be the entry level option with a range of up to 372 miles while a 84kWh battery ups the range to 426 miles.

Prices for the Tourer are still to be announced but can be expected to slightly more expensive than the hatchback which costs from £51,550.

The interior is the same as the regular ID.7 but VW has yet to reveal performance figures for the Tourer although it says the vehicle will have a towing capacity of up to 1,200kg.
