THE Smart #5 SUV will be unveiled at the end of August ahead of its launch in Europe in 2025.
At some 4.7 metres long, the #5 will be the largest in smart's current line up - bigger than the #1 and #3 vehicles and similar in size to the likes of the Peugeot 5008.
As with its stablemates the #5 is all-electric and while its range is still to be confirmed the car maker has hinted it will be able to achieve around 340 miles on a full charge with an 80 per cent recharge time of 15 minutes.
The #5 was first revealed as a concept at the Beijing Auto Show in April and Smart has just released images of a camouflaged version undergoing off-road testing ahead of its debut on August 28 in Brisbane, Australia.
The new model will be built in China under an agreement between Smart's parent company Mercedes-Benz and Geely.
Prices for the #5 are still to be determined but are expected to start from around £35,000.
