NISSAN has announced the performance version of its Ariya EV will be priced from £56,620 including £500 worth of free charging.

The Ariya Nismo will be available in a single specification with a special Stealth Grey exterior finish, previously available on the Nissan GT-R.

As such the Nismo model will cost £1,780 more than the top specification Ariya e-4ORCE 87kWh Evolve.

With the e-4ORCE all-wheel-drive system the Ariya NISMO can accelerate from 0-62mph within five seconds and from 50-70mph in 2.4 seconds - faster than the R35 GT-R Nismo.

First UK customers will receive a one of 100 limited-edition Ariya Nismo artwork by Juan Alcala Lara, the graphic artist and illustrator responsible for Nismo's Formula E art.
