NISSAN'S latest light commercial vehicle, the all-new Interstar will hit UK roads early in the new year with prices starting from £32,390 excluding VAT and taxes and it will be available with a fully electric power train - the first-ever BEV large van from Nissan.
The electric powertrain comes with a 40kWh battery as standard and a long-range 87kWh option providing a driving range of up to 285 miles
With a maximum DC charging speed of 130kW for the 87kWh battery, it delivers up to 157 miles of range in just 30 minutes. Also available with a standard 22kW AC charger for the 87kWh battery, or a standard 11kW AC charger for 40kWh battery, the Interstar-e is designed for depot use, charging from 10 to 100 per cent in less than 4 hours.
An upgraded two-litre diesel engine already used in other Nissan models is also available and delivers up to 170PS and 380Nm and can be ordered with either a six-speed manual or nine-speed automatic transmission.
Features of the new model include a longer load area of up to 3855mm depending on wheelbase and a class leading 1312mm-wide side door. Cargo space ranges from 10.8 to 14.8 cubic mts
