ORDERS for The Car of the Year-winning Alpine A290 have opened with the pure electric hot hatch being priced from £33,500.

PCP pricing starts at £345 for a GT model, based on a 2.9 per cent APR representative offer, with a £5,054 customer deposit and 6,000-mile annual limit.

Additionally, early A290 buyers can take advantage of incentives including a free servicing offer for up to three years for retail finance customers only through Mobilize Financial Services and the choice of one of several VIP experiences.

An array of VIP experiences is on offer and include on-track experiences in an A110 at Thruxton or Knockhill, entry and hospitality at a selection of major UK events where Alpine will have a presence, or a tour and Alpine F1 viewing experience at Enstone.

The A290 is the latest model from the French brand, and has been built with agility and lightness at its heart, continuing the legacy of the A110, while bringing Alpine into its electric, performance-focussed future.

The newest addition to the iconic Alpine range enters the market with five trim levels - GT, GT Premium, GT Performance, GTS, and Launch Edition - and offers a powertrain choice of a 52kWh battery with either 180hp or 220hp.

Prices for GT Premium and GT Performance models start from £36,000 while GTS versions begin at £37,500 with the range topping GTS Premiere Edition costing from £38,500.

The A290 is the electric hot hatch that will spearhead the Alpine transition to electric vehicles and be the first in its Dream Garage line-up.

It has been built to perform, with its specification including Brembo brake calipers and electronic stability control, as well as a choice of three Michelin Tyres - Pilot Sport EV, Pilot Sport S5, and Pilot Alpin 5 - all designed exclusively for A290.

A290 boasts an Alpine sport-tuned chassis and benefits from multilink rear suspension and hydraulic bump stops. Performance finds a new home in the A290, with touches such as an F1-inspired steering wheel in the ‘Feel at one' cockpit as well as an all-new overtake button, giving the car instant maximum power.

Alpine Telemetrics also help to enhance the driver's performance, as the A290 offers challenges based on the brand's motorsport DNA.

Styling touches include dual-tone Nappa leather seats interwoven with the tricolore flag, muscular bodywork and the unique Alpine signature.

The A290 also offers rapid charging from 15-80 per cent in 30 minutes. The 180hp powered version provides 236 miles of range, whilst the more powerful 220hp will have a range of 226 miles.

First customer deliveries can be expected in April.
