A NEW name is about to appear on the British motoring scene with the impending arrival of yet another Chinese EV brand.
You may never have heard of it, but XPENG, which claims to be ‘a Chinese-born global-orientated high-tech automotive company'' has announced its official entry to the UK and expects to have its' first cars on UK roads in March.
The company's first right-hand drive model, the XPENG G6 is a smart all-electric, mid-size coupe which will cost from £39,990.
Details are scant at the moment but the company says it combines high performance and cutting-edge technology with 800-volt supercharging and an extended driving range along with. next-generation operating systems and premium features.
The company's UK operation is being spearheaded by International Motors Ltd (IML) which plans to open 20 dealerships across the UK in 2025, ensuring a strong local presence and a more widespread customer support network.
